Review summary
Summarized by AI from 300+ reviews
This historic hotel, renowned for its impressive spa facilities and Victorian grandeur, offers a unique stay that blends traditional charm with modern amenities. While many guests appreciate its character and the sense of history, some note that certain areas are dated and could benefit from refurbishment. The hotel is consistently praised for its friendly staff and excellent food quality, particularly the breakfast. It serves as an ideal retreat for couples seeking relaxation, families enjoying the pool, and motorcyclists or tourists exploring the Welsh countryside. For a more contemporary experience, guests might consider dining in the brasserie, and for optimal comfort, requesting a recently updated room is advisable.
