De Elements Business Hotel KL (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia)

Rooms are really quite spacious - comparatively - and very clean. The bed is quite comfortable too. Limited numbers of pillows though.

This hotel lies between the city centre and the airport. There are plenty of places to eat nearby. Lots of variety and something for most budgets. All in all, the value is very good. It's not easy to find though - hidden away up a side street. Once you find it though, the effort is worthwhile. It's handy for transport too, with Bandar Tasik Selatan bus terminal being within easy walking distance.

Security feels OK and the street lights are always on. Another security plus is that you can't operate the lift without your room access card - so that's a deterrent to strangers intent on wandering in.

It's worth noting that parking spaces can be ‘reserved' in advance. Spaces aren't guaranteed. The reason for this is that there are so few spaces so little chance of picking one up without prior booking. The parking area itself is unsupervised, so it's every driver for him or herself!

Air conditioning is ineffective. It either needs servicing or replacing. As it currently stands, you should prepare for an uncomfortable night's sleep. Surprisingly, there is no refrigerator in the room and there's a problem with the shower basin; it overflows and floods the bathroom floor.

The TV reception is very poor, so TV is difficult to watch for any length of time. Also and unusually, they screw more money out of you by charging for replacement towels and bed linen. Not a good policy!
